The worst abuses of statistics occur when scientists try to analyze their data by substituting measurements into statistical formulae which they do not understand.ĭans cette étude, les auteurs passent en revue les méthodes d'inférence connues différemment sous le nom de "non-parametric" et "distribution free". However, we have tried to avoid the cook-book approach to statistics by carefully explaining the basic concepts of the subject, such as probability and sampling distributions these the reader must understand. Because of this, some results are stated without proof, where this is unlikely to affect the reader’s comprehension. Our goal is to introduce the basic theory without getting too involved in mathematical detail, and thus to enable a larger proportion of the book to be devoted to practical applications. The book can also be used by decision makers and researchers to either gain basic understanding or to extend their knowledge of some of the most commonly used statistical methods.

It can be used as a textbook for a first course in statistical methods in Universities and Polytechnics. The purpose of this book is to acquaint the reader with the increasing number of applications of statistics in engineering and the applied sciences. The different MT3 expressions in different sized fish and different polluted places showed the potential use of MT3 as a biomonitoring biomarker for heavy metals exposure in an aquatic environment. The results of this study suggest its suitability as a biomarker candidate for pollution assessment in the aquatic environment. thalassinus had a higher accumulation of heavy metals concentrations, therefore, exhibiting higher expressions than smaller-sized fish. The results showed high expressions of Metallothionein3 (MT3) with an increasing concentration of heavy metals. Heavy metals (Cd, Pb, Zn, and Cu) were determined using aqua regia’s methods followed by analyses with AAS. MT3 bands were detected using (Santa Cruz kit USA method). Primary mouse monoclonal anti-MT3 (1F11), primary antibody (1:2000), secondary antibody, and Goat anti-mouse IgG2 (1:2000) were used. The present study aimed at identifying the MT3 expressions and localizations in the kidney tissue of estuarine catfish Arius thalassinus from Kuala Gula using immunohistochemical methods. The techniques employed are highly sensitive, thus allowing the detection of the very low amount of proteins with the use of antibodies. Immunohistochemical techniques have been used to identify Metallothionein3 (MT3) expression specifically to detect MT3 levels in the kidney.
